The province of Alberta has a lot to offer and I wanted to find out all I could for some time now. The perfect opportunity came up and Jane and I packed our bags and went on the 3,104km journey to see what’s what. Also, with the Canadian dollar badly tanking lately, not having to buy expensive currency was another real plus for a domestic trip at this time.
Driving through the Rockies and stopping along various places was an experience that continuously had me asking, ‘Why hadn’t I come here before?!’ The places were beautiful, the people were welcoming and the fun was everywhere. A magical two weeks, to say the least!
The beauty of the drive through Rocky Mountains is hard to explain in words. Thankfully, I have video footage to show you some of it, it's the best I can do.
The Skyline Luge at the Canada Olympic Park in Calgary was spine-tinglingly (literally) fast. We did 2 runs to double the fun.
At Taste of Edmonton, there was a lot of people - and a lot of food - along with some annoying long line-ups.
We were blessed and drove trouble free! However, we did squash 983 insects that senselessly flew into the car.
